It would be hilarious if it were not so pathetic that you “media” types still think your opinions and hype are the significant motivation for the actions of others.
The “amenesty” issue got socked in the teeth by the PEOPLE of this country when they spoke out to their representatives in Congress refusing to continue to pay the bill for these illegals. The MSM did help by getting people so infuriated they demanded their rights as legal citizens.
Get over it. Fewer and fewer intelligent people are believing or listening to y’all. What is happening is that more and more Americans want to get in on the insider deals, the government “subsidies” and handouts. Fewer and fewer citizens see the value of hard work, diligence, and moral responsibility when ignorance, irresponsibility, impudence, laziness, etc. are rewarded. Who can blame them??? Remember Barbara Eden’s hit character “Jeannie” materializing from a cloud of pink smoke? Well, I wonder if Obama’s stupefied supporters envision the same vaporous entrance each time their candidate with the magic wallet pops up on stage. Seriously, how else can they explain their belief that Obama could actually grant and fulfill all their government-sponsored wishes? Only silly television shows, children’s fairytales, and socialist fantasies have the sort of hope where magic – or less believable, the government – can fix people’s problems.
